Be a fitness geek. Know the reason for the form and technique you use. Read articles that base their assertions on a body of current studies.
You’d be amazed at how many people cling to rules from studies they haven’t read, by authors they can’t name, written in the 1950s and 1960s (and they don’t know that either).
Knowledge evolves in sports science too. Don’t ride a dinosaur.
